(Reuters) - Relations between Moscow and Ankara have deteriorated after Turkey shot down a Russian air force jet during an operation near the Syria-Turkey border last week. According to Turkey, the jet had repeatedly violated its air space, while Russia claims that the jet was on Syrian territory. It is one of the most serious publicly acknowledged clashes between a NATO member country and Russia for half a century.
